At K&L Animal Rescue, we are on a mission to make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Our organization is dedicated to promoting animal rights, reducing overcrowding in shelters, and advocating for stronger animal cruelty penalties. One of the key ways we address the issue of overcrowding in animal shelters is through rescue operations. In addition to our rescue operations and advocacy work, we also strive to end the practices of breeding and backyard breeding. These practices contribute to the overpopulation of animals and often result in animals being abandoned or surrendered to shelters. We believe that responsible pet ownership starts with responsible breeding practices, and we are committed to spreading this message far and wide. Our long-term goal is to establish multiple facilities across the United States to reduce euthanasia due to overcrowding and ensure compassionate animal welfare. We believe that every animal deserves a chance at a happy and fulfilling life, and we are determined to make that a reality. At K&L Animal Rescue, we understand the importance of animal companionship in improving mental health. That's why we are dedicated to supporting individuals with PTSD and highlighting the benefits of animal companionship. Our founder, Jessie Virga, is a military veteran and animal rights advocate who has experienced firsthand the healing power of animals. Her two rescue dogs, King and Legend, have played a significant role in her battle with PTSD. Through our resources and support, we aim to help others find solace and support through the companionship of animals.
