The founders, Shanadore and her spouse, were inspired during a trip to Hawaii. Their story began in 2016 when Jessie rescued them along with their entire litter from a breeding operation in Chula Vista, CA. King and Legend quickly became more than just rescued pets; they transformed into Jessie's emotional support animals, providing her with a profound sense of purpose and companionship during the toughest times. Jessie often says, "I owe them my life." Their impact on her life inspired the creation of K&L Animal Rescue, driven by a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, providing them with the love and safety they deserve.
